Recruitment & Selection process

1. Apply on a vacancy

imec the Netherlands: You can apply for a vacancy by using the 'apply now'-button on the bottom of the vacancy page. Please insert your personal information accompanied by your CV, certificates and references, if any. You will receive a confirmation of your application by email.


TNO: Please click on the apply link to be forwarded to the TNO career website to apply.


2. Screening

The hiring manager will screen your cover letter and cv. Your cover letter will be screened on motivation while you cv will be screened on your professional background and expertise.


Within 10 working days we will inform you about the outcome of the screening and whether or not we will invite you for first round interviews. These are personal face-to-face interviews or phone/skype interviews.


3. Interviews

If you progress to the interview stage, the first interviews will be with the hiring manager, HR and technical experts. In these interviews your experience, motivation and expectations will be evaluated.


A positive evaluation can lead to a second interview round with other stakeholders that you may interact with.


4. Assessment and reference check

An assessment can be part of the procedure. After the final interviews, we will often carry out a reference check.


5. Job offer

If you have successfully completed all the steps of the recruitment process and there is a mutual fit, you will be screened against for Export Control Compliance. After succesfull sreening you will receive a job offer within five working days after informing you with the positive outcome.


6. Hiring

If you accept our offer, the contract will be prepared and send to you. After starting your new job you will be invited for the onboarding program for new employees.
